Early fall is another busy-at-home time, for me. Instead of scanning chaser photos, I tend to be picking tomatoes, watching for the first frost, mulching the empty beds, and getting the wood pile ready. This growing season started out poorly -- far too much rain and far too little sun in June -- but it turned out okay. We have some tomatoes in the freezer, some salsa canned and stored downstairs, and a nice looking bed of carrots waiting to be pulled.
So: I'll wish a happy autumn to everyone, and will post again next month. Plenty of things (always) on my to-do list, for the site!
