Hodgdon Yacht, Maine

Hodgdon Yacht, in East Boothbay, Maine, was initially awarded three contracts, to build hull numbers SC 137, SC 138 and SC 139. Two of these, SC 137 and SC 138, were completed and commissioned in the USN. SC 139 was not built.

This set shows some images of chaser construction at Hodgdon.

Unfortunately, a fire on the premises (much later) destroyed the onsite records of Hodgdon Yacht's chaser-building program. However several photos are held by the Boothbay Region Historical Society.
