SC 227: Williams Collection 06 - Engine Room

A rare interior photograph, in the engine room of subchaser SC 227. The device on the right is the auxiliary engine, used to provide electricity and to pump air into the air tanks that were used to start the main engines.Note the switch panel mounted in front of the engine.

This is a view looking aft. To the left is the side of the center main engine, and in the back the ladder to the hatch is partly visible.
