These photos only tangentially pertain to this site. George S. Dole, subchaser commander, was the identical twin of Louis A. Dole. Louis married Anita Sturges; they purchased the Bond property on Catawba Island, Ohio. An inquiry on that sale prompted a bit of photo scanning from the family albums.

Dr. John W. Bond
Dr. John W. Bond married Amanda Bond in 1854. Their daughter (Amanda S. Bond, pictured above) is mentioned in a deed selling the Catawba property to Anita Sturges Dole and Louis A. Dole.
