Years ago, Elizabeth Morse Atwood sent me an album of WWI photos to scan, from the collection of George Perley Morse, CO of SC 227. Recently I was pleased to receive an offer from her son, who was settling her estate, to send additional chaser-related materials for scanning. That project is in progress, and this month I've started to post a few shots.
I'm not sure if this one was taken by someone on SC 227 or which chaser the wherry and crewmen are from, but I especially liked this shot of six chaser crewmen who appear to be on their way to some shore leave:

Added recently from this collection:
- A second interior shot of the officers' quarters on SC 227
- A nice view of SC 227, SC 151, and SC 80 in France
- On the same page: Officer standing on the flying bridge of SC 227
- "Jazz the dog," mascot for a time on SC 227.
More to come, as I work through the collection, and thanks to Fred Atwood and the estate of Elizabeth Morse Atwood for making this collection available to The Subchaser Archives.
